Summer is going by so quickly and with the differences in weather, severe storms, extraordinary heat, and still flooding and tornadoes in some areas, it all seems at the wrong time.
These life experiences do not change the fact that for Medicare Insurance Professionals, the Medicare Annual Enrollment Period (AEP) is fast approaching. If you haven’t started to give it a thought…think about it!
As you read this Newsletter, you have about 6 weeks before seriously planning how to organize and control the authority of the Pre-AEP season. Have I shared with you that my first year of being an Independent Insurance Professional was hectic (to say the least). Coming from a corporate position as Medicare Sales Manager, I knew the products, the rules of engagement, the compliance requirements, the sales techniques. After all, I had become an accomplished sales representative before being a sales manager.
What created havoc for me was keeping organized and not feeling that I was losing it or missing someone along the way. My personal business wasn’t set up to handle the phone calls, the lead generation systems, the 2nd and 3rd appointments, the “ghosted” appointments, creating new appointments. I didn’t have a process.
Without a process in place you will find yourself running from one appointment to the other and time gets away from you. Nothing you can do about it.
